A restaurant, café, bar and tavern all in one in the Lavapiés neighbourhood. They cook dishes based on traditional recipes, and sometimes add a modern or international touch. The decor is vintage and industrial, with a mishmash of chairs and exposed-brick walls. Not only is it a place to discover quality cuisine thanks to the creations of chef Chema Claudio, but they also host temporary exhibitions and put a lot of thought into the music playing. Among their star dishes are poached eggs, an original take on the calamari sandwich with garlic-lime mayonnaise, salmon tataki with curry mayonnaise, an appetising and meaty 'pringá' sandwich, and traditional Madrid-style 'callos' (tripe). Don't be scared away, vegetarians, there's always an option for you as well.
