The looks of the place may be a tad dreary, but you'll forget all about the mauve tablecloths once you taste the tandoori chicken with almonds (aka chicken chap). Adrish was one of the first restaurants to appear on the global restaurant street that is C/San Bernardino, and although it rarely seems full, it has survived with dignity. The large tandoori oven and charcoal grill produce some tasty dishes and a variety of naan breads, even if the spiciness has dropped to a level acceptable to local palates. Vegetarians will no doubt be happy to see the thali of assorted curries with roti and rice.
