Member of the legendary rock band Deep Purple, with which he earned public and critical respect, bassist and writer Glenn Hughes left the group in 1976, and set out on a solo career. On his own, Hughes has enjoyed hits and been able to experiment with different musical genres such as funk, soul, jazz and pop. His most recent album is 2012's 'Love at Wolverhampton'.
