Alicia Ramos is a singer-songwriter from the Canary Islands who is a trans icon and a big critic of Spanish and international politics. According to Ramos herself, 'I think that happy people are usually more useful to the community than those who are bitter or disgusted with themselves, although I can't prove it with scientific data, just as I believe that joy is a form of dissent.' Her influences include Silvio Rodríguez, Deep Purple, Fito Páez and Andrés Calamaro, among others.
