We're not even sure the folks at Casa Revuelta themselves know how many kilos of cod they serve every week. One can only imagine the number is pretty overwhelming. Their 'tajadas de bacalo' (chunks of battered cod) are not only their speciality but they're practically the only dish keeping the tabernary tradition alive in the centre of Madrid. The wait staff are quick and attentive, the decoration is vintage, and you'll find a loyal clientele tipping back exeplary draught beers. A quick word of advice: try to avoid busy hours during the week and at weekends (especially sunny ones) because the place is guaranteed to fill up and can get a bit uncomfortable when it's jammed.
