Casa Pachuco

On a corner in uptown Lavapiés, quite close to the Doré cinema (Filmoteca Española), José María Lobelos found the perfect place to combine his two passions, food and music. Captain Beefheart plays while tables are served dishes such as black quinotto with ginger alioli cooked to perfection or a stupendous jerk chicken durum. He revised the menu to make it a bit more fusion, with a leaning toward Eastern influences. There are only five or six wines on offer, but they're noteworthy. The space is humble (it could do with a small investment in the decor) but the service is so friendly that you'll be back.
