In May 2008 Madrid's Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo (CA2M) opened its doors. After settling in Ferran Barenblit as Director, the CA2M started taking shape as a basic space for Madrid's cultural offerings through its exhibitions and activities.
The CA2M is a living art centre, which focuses its interest on the most current art. it hosts the the Collection of Contemporary Art of the Community of Madrid, which brings together some 1,500 works of all disciplines. At the same time, it carries out an ambitious programme of exhibitions, mediation and research in order to position itself among the most advanced art centres in Europe.
