Socially conscious production company, Participant Media, sits down with KPCC's Airtalk host, Larry Mantle, for an in depth conversation on the media's role in creating societal change. Topic of organized advocacy and enertainment's service to social action will be discussed in the context of Participant's upcoming biopic, "Cesar Chavez," directed by humanitarian (and painfully good-looking actor), Diego Luna. Additional panelists include actress America Ferrera and Participant's executive vice president of production, Jonathan King, as well as Todd Cunningham, director of the Media Impact Project at the Norman Lear Center at USC’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. Free and open to the public, the evening will do some good for both your conscience and your wallet.
