The Broad partners with the Library Foundation of Los Angeles’ ALOUD series for a string of literary events. In conjunction with the ongoing exhibition, “Jasper Johns: ‘Something Resembling Truth,’” the museum will host two evenings dedicated to Johns’s creative practice, with readings by contemporary authors who’ll read their own work as well as passages from Johns’s literary muses: Samuel Beckett, Ted Berrigan, Louis-Ferdinand Céline, Hart Crane, Frank O’Hara and Herman Melville.
