It’s been nearly one year since the Woolsey Fire roared through Malibu, Ventura, Thousand Oaks and surrounding neighborhoods, destroying more than 1,600 structures and nearly 100,000 acres of land. Among these structures were some of Mulholland Highway’s most beloved: Western Town at Paramount Ranch, and with it, the countless trees surrounding the historic filming location.
This weekend, Clarins and the Malibu Foundation are teaming up to help restore the ranch and its mountains with an all-day tree replanting party—and if that’s not getting your hands dirty for a good cause, we don’t know what is.
RePlant Malibu runs from 9am to 5pm on Saturday, and is set to be a feel-good event with free tacos, ice cream, DJ sets, shirts, caps, doughnuts and cold brew to keep you going as you water, weed and plant native trees and shrubs that will help restore Paramount Ranch’s ecosystem.
Can’t make it? You can purchase trees online—at only $8 apiece—which will find a home in the hills and aid in preventing further fires.
