The Broad's Un-Private Collection series takes audiences into the museum’s galleries by showcasing the unique stories behind various works , the collectors and the artists. The latest installment in the series will include a discussion of the life and works of Keith Haring led by his biographer, Brad Gooch, and dancer/choreographer, Bill T. Jones. The pair will discuss the artist's storied life and iconic works, as well as the energy and spirit of New York City in the 1980s. Hear about Jones's personal friendship and collaborations with Haring, and gain insight into the vibrant art, social activism and lasting legacy of the artist from his biographer.
The event will take place off-site at the Ace Hotel theater, and tickets include one-time free access to the exhibition Keith Haring: Art Is for Everybody.
