You don’t need a license to drive a sandwich, but you do need one to cruise to this SpongeBob-themed drive-thru and drive-in screening.
If nautical nonsense be something you wish, scoot on over to the Rose Bowl from February 26 through 28 for a drive-in screening of The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run, as well as a sneak peek of the upcoming Paramount+ series, Kamp Koral.
Before the show, you’ll enter through a series of themed environments and photo ops inspired by scenes in the movie, as well as one from Kamp Koral—so not quite a full-blown drive-thru, but still a little extra something for SpongeBob fans. (Just make sure not to drive through it like SpongeBob at boating school.)
Like most drive-ins right now, you must remain in your vehicle (or, if you’re a pioneer, we suppose on your rock). No food will be sold, but guests will receive a bag with some prepackaged concessions, plus some SpongeBob giveaways. Tickets cost $30 per car, and all proceeds will benefit Heal the Bay.
