The biggest winter miracle of all? Actually getting kids to sit through The Nutcracker—which makes this seasonal twist on the now-tired “immersive” event format a tempting proposition. Clocking it at a mere half hour, this comparatively short version of The Nutracker projected onto the walls of Hollywood’s Immersive Van Gogh space includes selections of Tchaikovsky’s famous score set to wall-sized retellings (a mix of CG and footage of dancers) of the ballet’s signature scenes. However, it’s worth mentioning that at $30 a ticket, it’ll cost you about the same for the cheapest tickets to most actual Nutcracker productions in L.A.
