You can see Felicity Jones and Eddie Redmayne in the Victorian ballooning caper The Aeronauts (which we gave four stars) in theaters on December 6. Or you could wait to stream it on Amazon Prime on December 20. Or you could see it this weekend, literally screening on a hot air balloon. Seriously.
A Victorian-inspired fair is taking over the Rose Bowl, complete with fortune tellers, cartoonists, hypnotists and hot air balloon rides on a replica of the film’s “Mammoth” balloon. The fair kicks off Saturday and Sunday at noon (until 8pm), but at 5:30pm each not, you’ll be able to see the flick playing on a 20-foot LED screening that wraps completely around a second hot air balloon.
