Cheesy? Sure. But romantic? Most definitely. The Pier has it all—food, fun and games, thrill rides, ocean views, long walks along the beach. And it’s upping the romance this Valentine’s Day, decking out the boardwalk with floral installations and the iconic Pacific Wheel with red and pink lighting all weekend. You can grab your date a bouquet from Cupid’s Cart of Flowers ($30) and stroll around to a soundtrack of live violin performances (6–9pm). There are also heart-themed photo ops and Valentine’s food and drink specials. And on February 14, the pier’s Patio 66 Bar & Grill will be hosting an interactive Lego build (4pm, $5–$25) followed by a paint-and-sip session (6pm, $50 per person).
