Scratch DJ Academy

After Rob Principe and Run DMC's Jam Master Jay opened up their first Scratch DJ Academy in New York to back-to-back sold out semesters, they new LA had to be their next destination. Since 2004, Scratch's West LA school has offered DJ courses for all levels, in addition to private lessons, workshops and summer camps for kids. Which begs the question, why learn to play Für Elise on the piano when you can learn to mix your favorite beats on the turntables? It may not impress your parents, but it's definitely a sexy party trick.
