Descanso Gardens was forced to scrap its magical, illuminated Enchanted this year, but it’s still bringing some holiday season buoyancy to its botanical gardens with the new Reflections. The daytime event invites you to take a stroll through the La Cañada Flintridge grounds and reflect on the beauty that’s still around us after such a trying year. As such, most of Reflections’ highlights fit that theme, with mirrors tucked into the camellia forest, gold-burnished logs and stones among the oaks, deer sculptures made out of recycled materials, a rotation of floral arches and a wishing tree assembled from felled oaks.
Reflections is included in regular admission ($15, kids $5), and timed reservations (and masks, of course) are required. If this year’s Halloween event is any indication, expect weekends to sell out first (and to generally be more crowded).
