Time Out says

Somebody pinch us: Long Beach's Original Lobster Festival is back this weekend, a mecca for lobster rolls, lobster sliders, lobster on a stick and all other things lobster.

The annual weekend devoted to the spiny seafood returns with a massive food court and party at Rainbow Lagoon Park. There'll be à la carte lobster-based dishes—including live Maine Lobster steamed in the world's largest cooker—and, of course, options for those in favor of non-seafood meals.

Bringing some little lobster fans? The event is kid-friendly, and will even include a magic show, games, face painting and bounce houses.

Expect live music, a karaoke lounge, a dance floor (complete with dance instruction) and a reptile exhibit, among other treats and activities. Want skip-the-line privileges? There's even a VIP pass that'll have you feasting on the finest lobster in no time, and buy-ahead meal packages ($30-$95) to make sure you won't be clawing for, well, those succulent claws.
