Lucy Sparrow’s Sparrow Mart exhibition

Felt fabric and seemingly name-brand grocery store products sit in unlikely harmony on the shelves of artist Lucy Sparrow’s unique namesake installation, Sparrow Mart. Known for her colorful, realistic and detail-oriented felt creations, the British artist is making her West Coast debut of the fully-felted bodega in Downtown L.A.’s The Standard hotel. What’s more? You can actually shop the hand-stitched items in-store, each one signed by the artist. It’s a felt fantasyland you never knew you needed—so much so that last year’s New York installation, 8 Till Late, sold out in two weeks. What the felt, right?
