Trying to crack the three “C”s in the name of this event? It stands for Los Angeles, the Capital of Creativity & Culture—and as such, the November event from Variety owner Penske Media Corporation promises both music, culinary and film experiences. Erykah Badu, Herbie Hancock, Robert Glasper, Flying Lotus, Questlove and Kamasi Washington top the lineup, with food from A’s BBQ, Bridgetown Roti, Campo é Carbon, Estrano x Pearl River Deli and more. For this year’s edition, the outdoor festival format has been dropped in favor of an event that takes place across four old movie palaces in DTLA: the Theatre at the Ace Hotel, Los Angeles Theatre, Orpheum Theatre and Palace Theatre, plus some surrounding parking lots.
