Free Chili Day at Philippe’s

After a four-years hiatus, this Chinatown institution is giving out free chili again. Starting at 10:30am on January 30 (though lines are sure to form well beforehand), Philippe the Original will give a bowl of free chili to the first 500 people who show up, plus your choice of toppings (shredded cheddar, beans and onions). The chili comes courtesy of Dolores Chili, which has been sold exclusively at Philippe’s since the 1970s.
