When the moment arises for interactive and playful enjoyment, it’s worth grabbing it (with both hands). Meta Lab, LA, is one of those moments. The pop-up—which is free to the public—opens on November 8 in West Hollywood, ready for whenever you want hands-on (but actually hands-free) creative playtime. There, you can try out and purchase Ray-Ban Meta Glasses—experiencing features like Meta AI, open-ear audio for hands-free listening, voice command capabilities for calling and messaging and a 12 MP camera that directly uploads to Instagram—all while exploring and drawing inspiration from LA’s vibrant culture.

Blending together the best of creativity and technology, Meta Lab is a free pop-up specially crafted for anyone who loves to experiment. Visitors can demo the glasses that come in a range of styles, create hands-free content using Ray-Ban Meta Glasses (a favorite for the likes of Tinashe), and even purchase the glasses for themselves or friends and family for the Holidays. Through the theme of custom culture, there will be two waves of installations and activations featuring sounds by musician Tierra Whack, DIY style from Wisdom Kaye and Brain Dead, and lowrider-inspired work by artists Jacqueline Valenzuela, Armando Flores, Erick Padillo and Estevan Oriol. These will celebrate the diverse vibe of the city, while the installations will serve as a backdrop to experiencing the Ray-Ban Meta Glasses and their capabilities first-hand.

The pop-up will kick off with a week of celebrating Chicano and Lowrider culture. On November 8, join renowned artists and fellow art enthusiasts for an evening of Art in Motion, from 5–7pm, to explore collaborative exhibits, engage with the artists behind the work and experience the art through Ray-Ban Meta Glasses. Then, on November 9 at 5pm, icons of the lowrider scene will gather for a roundtable discussion, sharing their stories of pride and connection. Passed down through generations, lowriders represent more than craftsmanship, they represent cultural resistance and a celebration of identity within the Mexican-American community in Los Angeles. On November 10 at 2pm, you can dive into the intricacies of building a lowrider with the experts and explore how hands-free technology is driving this vibrant art form.

Meta Lab’s tour through the creative landscape of Los Angeles doesn’t end after week one, with a second week dedicated to delving deeply into the city’s thriving DIY arts, style and craft culture on the way. Check out the pop-up for live workshops on cultural identity, technology and storytelling or design your own Ray-Ban Meta case with a variety of laser engraving customization options. Every Tuesday and Saturday, there are hands-on workshops to help guide you through how to take stunning photos and videos with ease while staying in the moment. Every Friday, there will also be ongoing workshops with Ray-Ban Meta Glasses to help you learn how technology, culture and creativity collide. Plus, stop in anytime around the holidays for a festive photo-op and of course to snag the perfect Christmas gift for everybody on your list—a pair of Ray-Ban Meta Glasses.

Get your hands on Ray-Ban Meta Glasses at Meta Lab: LA, open daily from 10am–7pm, from November 8 to December 31. There’s no sign-up necessary; simply pop in or head to the website to check out the schedule.
