Who can't relate to reminiscing about lost loves? Diana Damrau will make her LA Opera debut starring as all four women whom poet E.T.A. Hoffmann loved but lost for one reason or another. After having perhaps too much to drink, Hoffmann recalls Olympia, Giulietta, Antonia and Stella to his friends, which leads him to a "poet's artistic salvation." Conducted by Plácido Domingo, this is a co-production with the Mariinsky Theater and Washington National Opera.
