Popol Vuh: Heart of Heaven

Chicano theatre company El Teatro Campesino retells the Mayan creation myth with an a visually elaborate LA twist through towering puppetry, music and dance. The performance, under the direction of the Center Theatre Group, was a community effort, as Boyle Heights residents will perform in the production as well. Attendees are encouraged to pack a picnic and bring blankets, pillows or low chairs.
