CASA 0101 is dedicated to providing vital arts, cultural, and educational programs and bringing theater, digital filmmaking, art and dance productions to Boyle Heights, nurturing the future storytellers of Los Angeles. First founded in 2000 by Josefina Lopez, the author of Real Women Have Curves, has since established itself as a leading arts venue for Los Angeles’ East Side, presenting theatrical productions, film festivals, and other special events year round. CASA 0101 also offers year-round, free classes in acting and other arts disciplines for youth, as well as free and low-cost classes for adults in acting and writing.
