Block Party: Celebrating Los Angeles Theatre

Los Angeles is the entertainment capital of the world, so it's no surprise the city is home to more than 250 theater companies. Center Theatre Group is looking to celebrate that abundance of talent by presenting Block Party, which will feature three recent productions from local theater companies, aimed at highlighting some of the best work L.A. has to offer. So what three shows are on the bill? A Coeurage Theatre Company will perform Failure: A Love Story, about the lasting power of human connection, from April 14–23; Fountain Theatre's Citizen: An American Lyric, a poetic riff on race in America, from April 28–May 7; and Echo Theater Company will perform Dry Land, about female friendship, May 12–21.
