At first glance, you may make the mistake of writing Bliss off as a too-cutesy chain, with its all-lowercase-letter labels on quirky, colorful products. But Bliss boasts locations all over the world because it knows how to do the spa experience right. Bliss has a full range of its own skincare products, unique signature treatments, including special offerings for men, and crowd pleasers like a brownie bar. Walk into the spa's Westwood location, tucked inside the W Hotel Los Angeles, and find the brand’s signature white and bright blue colors saturating a room lined with shelves of tempting products, many of which are used in the treatments themselves. Stop and get a mani-pedi here or head back to the spacious locker room and showers. The women’s relaxation station (there’s a corresponding, toned-down one just for men as well) looks like a room you’d want to throw a slumber party in, with its comfy but trendy purple and taupe couches, large chandeliers and snacks like cheese, crackers, fruit and truly tasty brownies and blondies. The hallways come off a bit clinical but once you step inside one of the ten treatment rooms, the dim lights and soft R&B tunes will have you relaxed in no time. For the quintessential Bliss experience, try the Triple Oxygen Facial, touted by the spa as the facial that made it famous. Indulge in three different forms of fresh air for your face: an oxygen wrap, Bliss' Triple Oxygen cream and bubbly mask and a vitaminized O2 spray. Combine that with a targeted peel, a thorough extraction, an energizing enzyme pack for your face, relaxing hand and foot massages with products like Blood Orange + White Pepper moisturizer and hot eucalyptus towels over your face and you get an experience and result well worth the $165 price tag. Expect a shiny face the next day but long-term glowing results.
