Venokado

The name means "wine" (vino) and "gift" (cadeau) and is a one-stop shop for the wino. Located inside Santa Monica Place's The Market (there's also a WeHo store), this venue sees more touristy traffic and features an outdoor rooftop patio where you can try a daily flight of three wines and cheese ($10-$14). The wines are owner-tested and approved and range from Italian, French, Spanish, German and Californian reds and whites. The curious and adventurous can choose a Croatian, Slovenian or Morroccan. Drop in for Winemaker Wednesdays from 6-8pm, when you can taste wines from domestic to international. Don't forget to snag a Laguiole knife set, which ranges in price, quantity and style.
