The question isn't who wears Hedley & Bennett aprons, it's who doesn't wear them. If you're a chef, waiter or bartender—hell, if you're just someone who loves cooking at home—the LA-based apron brand is probably hanging in your kitchen. If it's not, you'll want to take a trip to the company's Vernon factory, a bright, airy space where founder Ellen Bennett oversees the factory floor from her loft office, occasionally using a zipline to swing down to the floor below. Tours are available to anyone who walks in, given by H&B's Happiness Deliverer who will take you around the space before showing off a wall of brightly colored aprons for you to try. You may even be handed an ice cream cone to enjoy while perusing the merchandise—making this, hand's down, the best factory you've ever visited.
