Perhaps the platonic ideal of what one would imagine an art store to be, with a windy layout and a second floor situated near the rear. Standing in the midst of an industrial supply district, Continental provides a pretty comprehensive selection of art gear for every project or fancy, though the wide variety can occasionally result in somewhat low stock for certain items (on the flip side, a certain overstock results in fun deals on neat items you didn’t know you wanted). In addition to tools, Continental provides the knowledge to use them with classes at their in-store studio, as well as a full selection of art and technique books.
