Velverie Café and Teahouse (CLOSED)

This Beverly Hills teahouse runs one of the most delightful (yet budget-friendly) afternoon tea services in town. Served from 2 to 5pm Wednesday through Sunday, Velverie pokes fun at the locals' crowd with the luxurious Beverly Hills Afternoon, which includes avocado toast, bite-size waffles topped with olive oil and balsamic "caviar" and not just one, but four beverages: Prosecco, green juice, iced tea and then your choice of loose-leaf tea. Their normal tea service, whose exact components change on a seasonal basis, still offer plenty of indulgence. For those less inclined to sweets, Velverie offers the Canapés and Conversation set, which includes savory bites like roasted piquillo peppers and truffle-laced potato chips.
