A relative latecomer to L.A.’s Tijuana-style birria boom, Todo Bien is a fast-casual takeout spot in Hollywood offering a chef-driven twist on the traditional Mexican stew. Started by Jon & Vinny alum Alex Arutyunan, Todo Bien serves a lighter chicken birria, vegetarian-friendly cauliflower tacos and cheesy elote, but beef birria remains the star of the show. Its name is derived from "todo bien," a commonplace kitchen Spanish phrase Arutyunan has picked up from his tenure at Jon and Vinny's.
Here, you’ll find a well-seasoned, lighter version of the now commonplace taco/quesadilla filling. Paired with Todo Bien’s housemade pickled red onions, peppers and carrots, the shop’s taco is perfect as a heavier weekday lunch, or perhaps a late night post-drinking snack (the restaurant is located next to Adults Only).
