What happens when one of our favorite Asian-cuisine chefs opens an Italian restaurant? As it turns out we get Soprano, Brandon Kida's roomy red-sauce joint serving pastas, pizzas and some killer meatballs at the corner of Hollywood and Vine. While the menu is surefooted in its Italian-American classics, Kida manages to sneak a few of his Hinoki & the Bird tricks in, folding dashi and other techniques into his sauces for unique flavors.
