This bare bones Long Beach eatery is the fresh food extension of Chinatown’s Sesame LA, the superette known for its thoughtful curation of gourmet Asian-owned food brands. Here, owner Linda Sivrican—with the help of her parents and extended family—serves a small menu of well-crafted, ever-changing Vietnamese dishes, including an excellent vegan goi cuon stuffed with flowers and plant-based shrimp. A daytime destination for Sesame LA superfans, as well as a hidden gem for Long Beach locals, this mission-oriented casual takeout spot is only just getting started; in mid-June, Sesame Dinette has plans to add a tea bar menu and cold case full of to-go items. On-site lot and street parking.
