Karen Palmer's craveable French bread pizza pop-up is back, and this time the gourmet spin on a childhood fave is back for a great cause—in addition to the great cause of, you know, serving great pizza.
On Thursday, August 6, Pain Pizza will return for one night of takeout, popping up in Pop's Bagels. Head to Pop's—housed in Culver City's PLATFORM—and find cheese ($10) and pepperoni ($12) atop locally baked French baguettes from Clark Street Bread, served two pieces of French bread pizza in each order. And because Pop's is such a great host, owner Zach Liporace will be whipping up $5 orders of tiramisu to complement Palmer's nostalgia-inducing pizzas.
The best part? Proceeds from this one-night pop-up will benefit two great organizations: No Us Without You, which helps feed unemployed, undocumented restaurant workers and their families, and the Los Angeles chapter of Black Lives Matter. The fun runs 5 to 8pm, or until they sell out.
