One of L.A.'s best outdoor dining series is back. Outstanding in the Field just announced its 2021 calendar, and on August 4, the alfresco event is returning to an oasis that hides in the middle of the city: Wattles Farm.
Chef Gladys Nyoth of nomadic restaurant Mbombo will be cooking up African cuisine among the greenery of Wattles Farm, a community garden that feels like one of Hollywood's best-kept secrets. You'll be enjoying the farm, too, seated out in the open and breaking bread — and sipping wine — with fellow guests, all according to L.A. County's August dining protocols.
The all-afternoon affair begins at 4pm; tickets run $285 per person and include a multicourse dinner, drinks and entertainment. If you think you've had enough of outdoor dining to last a lifetime, you've probably never been to an Outstanding in the Field dinner.
