Top Chef winner of season 12, Mei Lin, is taking over the kitchen at Hinoki & the Bird for a one-night-only pop-up dinner. Taste your way through five satiating courses from Lin and executive sous chef Kei-Ichi Kurobe with highlights like Dungeness crab with spring pea flan and shaved vegetables, pork shrimp wontons atop ginger broth, and a white chocolate panna cotta with black sesame and azuki beans. Drawing inspiration from Kurobe’s Japanese heritage and Lin’s Chinese heritage, the dishes are well-worth the $95 tab.
