L.A.'s pizza game is already off the charts, but those who want a slice or two of some of Brooklyn's finest can find it in West Hollywood for two nights only.
That's because Lucali—a New York pizza staple—is bringing its famous pies, calzones and meatballs to The Nice guy on March 9 and 10. It marks the first time that owner Mark Iacono will transport Lucali's to Los Angeles, and he's not just bringing the pizza: True to his Brooklyn shop's form, look for the '75 Chevy Caprice convertible parked out front of the h.wood Group restaurant and bar.
Once inside, expect 18-inch pizzas in Lucali's four signature flavors: margherita, pepperoni, hot pepper and shallot, and white pizza with truffles, plus those massive calzones and homestyle meatballs.
Just be sure to plan accordingly: This pop-up is walk-ins only (no reservations), so get there on the early side for best results.
