Little Dynamite

Little Dynamite is the new home, and name, for the cult-favorite pan pizzas pioneered by New Jersey native Kyle Lambert, who drew upon multiple East Coast pie styles in creating his own signature squares. Now, after a short-lived Mid-City location (and falling out with his business partner), Lambert has ditched the Bootleg Pizza name, rebranded and relocated to this Mar Vista storefront where you can pick up slices from noon to 3pm, and order whole pies thereafter. While these ultra-dense, ultra-cheesy pieces of dough may have taken L.A. by storm in 2019, the city’s pizza scene has changed over the course of the pandemic. These days, we think you can now find better squares elsewhere—namely, at Santa Monica’s Emmy Squared and Quarter Sheets in Echo Park.
