Sink your teeth into Paul Shoemaker’s latest—his follow-up to his recenlty-shuttered Malibu bistro, Savory—upgrade to America’s favorite sandwich at Juicy Lucy in Downtown’s spiffy new FIGat7th. The house burger ($10) boasts an oozy triple cheese–stuffed, grass beef round—the restaurant takes its name from a super moist patty that’s humidified and grilled to-order—topped with lettuce, tomato, caramelized onion, pickles, aioli and an optional thick-cut pork belly slab. Take your tray and join the Downtown lunch crowd at a table in the brand spanking new food court. There’s also a turkey burger ($10), Mary’s organic turkey, avocado and mustard and a daily changing, market-inspired chef burger—there was an arugula-topped salmon on a recent visit. Pair with Sriracha cheese fries ($4) for a spicy twist on the obligatory side and a homemade, Clover milk–based milkshakes ($5) like local mixed berry or salted caramel that hits the sweet spot.
