This charming micro roastery takes its beans—and especially the flavors they impart—as seriously as it takes its gelato (which is quite seriously indeed). Joules and Watts brings single-origin, small-batch coffee to a corner of the Malibu Village shopping center along with matchas, house bottled cold brew, pour overs, fresh pastries, and scoops of Nancy Silverton's own gelato, and co-owner and coffee roaster Max Gualtieri ensures that the bitterness in both the coffee and your day to day life disappears—even if just for the duration of a cup of coffee.
