Tucked into a small storefront on Spring Street is Hamburguesas Punta Cabras, a Downtown hamburger joint from the same crew behind Tacos Punta Cabras. It's imporant to know this last bit because, while the menu is small, it satisfies both burger and taco fiends with a Mexican twist on the classic American hamburger. There's your standard patty, some lettuce and a slice of tomato, but there's also charred green onion and 1000 Islas Salsa, a creamy dressing with a kick of heat. Top your burger off with extra sauces at the counter, like chipotle ketchup or Mexican ranch, and if you're going all out, the papas susias—dirty fries—is a must.
