Draped in tones of pastel pink and green, this cute street-facing café within Atlantic Square Plaza serves one of Japan’s most famous soufflé pancakes. Originally from Osaka, Gram Cafe first landed stateside up in the Bay Area before expanding to L.A.’s San Gabriel Valley—and while the waits here can be formidable, plenty of Angelenos are happy to line up for these ultra-jiggly, once-trendy creations that took over the city half a decade ago. In addition to the array of sweet signature creations, Gram Cafe also serves savory items like pork tonkatsu curry and dessert-like espresso and tea drinks, including an excellent dalgona coffee.
