As Cronut creator Dominique Ansel says, his croissant-doughnut hybrid is now old enough for kindergarten. To celebrate, throughout the day Ansel's team will be surprising bakery guests with free Cronut holes in the first flavors from their bakeries' various locations: NYC's rose and vanilla (from May 2013); Tokyo's Hokkaido milk honey ganache and yuzu curd (from June 2015); London's salted butterscotch with cocoa nib (from September 2016); and of course L.A.'s opening white peach amaretto jam with muscovado ganache. Those looking to try them all can find them in a one-day-only special box set, which includes these and L.A.'s May flavor, raspberry toasted oat.
