A traditional, neighborhood Italian joint, Amici Trattoria serves up the usual Italian fare in an intimate, upscale, “rustic winery” type setting. The menu appeals to meat lovers with plenty of meat and fish dishes (veal, prosciutto, calamari, tenderloin), but vegetarians will be happy to see lots of veggies on the menu as well. But the shining star is not the Maine Lobster or the beef carpaccio but the complimentary bread basket with tomatoes and a white-bean hummus . While you wait for your housemade lasagna or gnocchi, admire the nearly 2000 bottles of wine surrounding you. It is a bit of a pricey spot for a night out but you just might see an A-list somebody dining next to you.
