Abricott's menu doesn't necessarily jive with its atmosphere. A small, narrow space, the restaurant channels more of a coffee shop vibe, offering small tables inside as well as a back library room. But the food speaks for itself: Asian-fusion cuisine that is fresh, inventive, and available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Stop by for brunch and you might find yourself choosing between a Chinese donut or a breakfast crepe; lunch sandwiches include a kabocha (Japanese eggplant) variety and a lemongrass chicken burger. On warm Pasadena nights, the patio fills with friend dates and romantic dates, both deciding between entrées to split. Will it be the spicy tofu and eggplant or the marinated flank steak? The coconut pasta or the Abricott burger? Get both. You'll finish it all.
