We curate an L.A. weekend itinerary of the city’s best concerts, culture and cuisine, every week, just for you.

Friday

Take your pick between a trio of shows tonight. Listen to performances from Josh Ritter, Amos Lee, David Hidalgo of Los Lobos, Hiss Golden Messenger and others during Jubilee – A Celebration of Jerry Garcia, a benefit concert at the Theatre at Ace Hotel.

Head to the Downey Theatre for Animaniacs Live!, a musical revue that stars composer Randy Roogel, Rob Paulsen (the voice of Yakko) and Maurice LaMarche (Brain, from Pinky and the Brain).

Send off NerdMelt on its final night with The Worst Night at A Comedy Club, a sketch and stand-up parody that stars the comedy showrooms’ interns.

Saturday

Usher in the springtime bloom with Descanso Gardens’ Cherry Blossom Celebration. In addition to garden tours, today’s programming includes a flower-arranging workshop.

Scope out 160 pieces from 66 artists during the final weekend of Laluzapalooza. This annual juried group exhibition housed inside of the Soap Plant/Wacko complex showcases undiscovered, emerging talent including illustrators, graphic designers, tattooists, street taggers and animators.

Meet your match at Tantra Speed Date, a yoga–inspired dating event at Still Yoga in Silver Lake that features activities like communication games, improv and partner yoga. It’ll feel better than swiping, we promise.

See comedy for a good cause as Tig Notaro presents Krullapalooza. The annual Largo show in memory of late actress Suzanne Krull includes stand-up from Jen Kirkman, Wendy Liebman, Michaela Watkins and Steve Connell.

Sunday

Make your way to LACMA for the final day of “Found in Translation: Design in California and Mexico, 1915–1985.” This 20th-century-focused exhibition explores the movements both toward and against modernism through the works of luminaries like Richard Neutra and Charles and Ray Eames.

See George Takei star in the final L.A. performance of Allegiance. The play at the Aratani Theatre follows a Japanese family interned during WWII as a brother fights for the U.S. while his sister protests.

Brush up on 40,000 years of self-representation, narcissism and, more recently, bathroom selfies as the Museum of Selfies opens in Glendale.
