We curate an L.A. weekend itinerary of the city’s best concerts, culture and cuisine, every week, just for you.

Friday

Celebrate women who find their voices in the face of adversity during March Forth! at the Skirball. The cabaret-style performances features poets and songwriters including Elizabeth Acevedo, Olivia Chumacero, Myriam Gurba and Irene Diaz.

Alternatively, see the Los Angeles Ballet’s Swan Lake, as the world’s most famous ballet, about a girl turned into a swan by evil and then rescued by pure love, makes a splash at Royce Hall.

Swing by NerdMelt for another edition of Andy Kindler’s Particular Show, with stand-up sets from Marc Maron, Bob Saget, Kyle Kinane and the frustrated, self-defeated Kindler himself.

Saturday

Start your morning off early—like, 6am early—with an Irish coffee at Tom Bergin’s, which is hosting its annual all-day St. Patrick’s Day party.

Take your celebrations into the streets of Downtown L.A. during Casey’s St. Patrick’s Day Street Festival. The pub is pouring beer and whiskey and providing live music well into the evening.

Ride into the danger zone at Tom Gun Live: A Maverick’s Homage. This spoof of Top Gun at the Regent Theater from the same guys who put together the raucously over-the-top Point Break Live comes complete with a post-show ’80s dance party.

For a more refined evening, head over to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion for the Joffrey Ballet’s Romeo & Juliet. Choreographer Krzysztof Pastor transposes Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy to 20th-century Italy.

Sunday

Join the 26.2-mile club (or cheer from the sidewalk) today at the LA Marathon. This parade of physical endurance kicks off at Dodger Stadium and winds its way along Hollywood, Sunset, Santa Monica and San Vicente boulevards (keep that in mind if you’re on the road) all the way to the ocean.

If you’re up for a drive, bump and tilt your way to pinball wizardry at the Arcade Expo. This tournament and expo at Banning’s Museum of Pinball includes freeplay on 1,100 modern and retro arcade and pinball machines.

Head to the Natural History Museum for the L.A. Nature Fest. Learn about L.A.’s amazing urban wilderness with garden tours and nature walks.

Geek out with fellow TV nerds at opening weekend of PaleyFest, the annual weeklong festival of exclusive episodes, clips and panel discussions with the cast and creators of current TV shows. Head to the Dolby Theatre in the afternoon for a Handmaid’s Tale panel, followed by Silicon Valley in the evening.
