We curate an L.A. weekend itinerary of the city’s best concerts, culture and cuisine, every week, just for you.

Friday

Roll out a blanket and sip on pours of wine on the Hollyhock House’s front lawn during the final Friday Night Wine Tasting of the season at Barnsdall Art Park.

Indulge at the Taste, the L.A. Times’ weekend-long food festival on the Paramount backlot featuring bites and pours from exciting new restaurants along with demos and panel discussions.

Freak out and give in as the Smashing Pumpkins play a career-spanning set at the Forum.

Bust a move in Grand Park during the final DJ Nights of the season, with a free, late-night dance party playlist curated by Nosaj Thing.

Saturday

Film buffs, unite for the Cinecon Classic Film Festival, a cinephile festival of rare and unusual old-school films at the Egyptian Theatre.

Taste and sip your way through plant-based dishes and a beer garden at Vegan Street Fair Nights, an all-vegan night market held outside of the Federal Bar in North Hollywood.

Head over the hill to the Hollywood Bowl for John Williams: Maestro of the Movies. Travel to a galaxy far, far away as the prolific film composer leads the LA Phil with selections from Star Wars, E.T., Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter and more.

Alternatively, see back-to-back sets from DâM-FunK and J Rocc during the first day of the Made in LA Music & Arts Festival, a two-day music and beer fest held at Golden Road Brewing.

Sunday

Indulge your inner foodie and shopaholic on Sunday at ROW DTLA during Smorgasburg LA, which welcomes BBQ spots like Bludso’s and Pearl’s as well as the final day of the market’s ice cream alley.

Make your way west to the Hammer Museum for the closing day of “Made in L.A.” The fourth in the Hammer’s ongoing series of biennial exhibitions focuses on work created by 32 emerging and under-recognized L.A. artists.

Meet Kermit the Frog, Rowlf and Bert and Ernie during the final day of “The Jim Henson Exhibition: Imagination Unlimited,” an immersive look at the Muppets creator’s career.

Celebrate West Adams’ rich culture at the Delicious Vinyl West Adams Block Party. Held next to hip-hop pizza joint Delicious Pizza, the free block party includes sets from KRS-One and Masta Ace.

Bring your appetite for all things deep fried to the opening weekend of the L.A. County Fair at Fairplex.

On your way back west, stop for a late-night snack at 626 Night Market, a massive Asian street food market at Santa Anita Park

Monday

Say so long to summer with 500 of your newest friends at the Viceroy Santa Monica during Three Day Rule’s Annual Labor Day Pool Party, a soiree from the matchmaking service that features DJs, dancing, BBQ, discounted cocktails, a braid bar, pool floats and more.

Farther down the coast, Hermosa Beach hosts its biannual Fiesta Hermosa. Put on a bathing suit and roam the 400-plus stalls at this waterfront street fair.

Support local makers and artists during the final day of the LA Original pop-up at MOCA.

Close out your weekend atop NeueHouse as Rooftop Cinema Club presents back-to-back alfresco screenings of Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Anchorman
