The city’s burger scene is about to undergo a major revamp: Gott’s Roadside, the famous Bay Area burger joint, will open its flagship Los Angeles location at the Original Farmers Market this upcoming fall.
Gott’s Roadside already operates eight locations in the Bay Area, each one dishing out modern takes on American classics prepared with locally sourced ingredients that appeal to both locals and tourists traveling to San Francisco and Napa.
“We’re excited to expand to Los Angeles because we have fans who have been asking us for years to open outside of the Bay Area,” said Gott’s Roadside president Clay Walker in an official statement. “We chose the Original Farmers Market as our first Southern California outpost because of its iconic status as one of the premier public markets in the country, similar to our other locations at the Ferry Building and Oxbow Public Market.”
For the uninitiated, Gott’s debuted on Highway 29 in St. Helena back in 1999, the brainchild of brothers Joel and Duncan Gott.
“Their vision was simple, to create craveable, timeless dishes made with quality ingredients, and served in a family-friendly atmosphere with wine country hospitality,” reads an official press release.
Since then, the burger empire has grown exponentially, now serving over 50,000 guests per week.
Once it opens in the fall of 2025, we’ll make to try the L.A. outpost of Gott’s Roadside to see if it can make onto our list of best burgers in Los Angeles. Until then, you’ll find us scrolling through the business’s online menu. We already have our eyes set on the kimchi burger and the double cheeseburger.
